The Constitutional Conservative: Texas Experienced Unprecedent Weather and Unprecedented Power and Water Failures…in part, likely in large part, due to the myths around Green Energy.

We all want a clean environment, but we also must heat our homes and have clean water.

The great debate about “Green Energy” continues, but the tragedies here in Texas showed the nation that wind and solar sure can leave us out in the cold when it matters.

Analysis:

Texas legislators have been transitioning more and more of our state’s electrical production to the wind and solar. In doing so, our leaders subsidized those wind and solar facilities with our tax dollars. We learned this last week that when the weather gets rough – when you most need electricity – it’s good old fashion oil, coal, and natural gas that delivers heat in times of real need. When the wind turbines froze and the sun was obscured by cloud coverage, the electricity production from wind and solar plummeted, just when Texans were most in need. It was natural gas, coal, and oil which filled the electricity needs.

Conclusion:

We all want to ensure we leave a clean environment for our children and grandchildren, but we have to be honest about our ability to keep people warm and safe. Relying too heavily on wind and solar to produce electricity leaves us out in the cold when it matters most. Ignoring the benefits of natural gas, coal, oil, and nuclear will have a chilling effect – literally.
