The Clinton Threat
Government must be accountable to the people. That is the mission of Texans for Honesty – to ensure our elected officials uphold their oaths of office and the Constitution. For years we have witnessed Democrats and the mainstream media label Conservativism as extreme and a threat to democracy. The reality is our conservative principles are a threat to the corruption rampant in Washington and the Democratic Party. This is why they attack us.
Last week one of Hillary Clinton’s attorneys was indicted for lying to the FBI as part of the Washington Witch Hunts used to attack and undermine President Trump. It appears the chickens finally came home to roost. Democrats, and the Clinton Campaign in particular, were so desperate and afraid that then-candidate Trump would drain the swamp if he won, that they lied to the FBI about Russia. We now know that Clinton Campaign lawyer, Michael Sussman of Perkins Coie law firm in Chicago, called the FBI to report Trump for “colluding” with the Russians. At the time Sussman was one of the Clinton campaign’s lawyers.
The gravest threat to our Republic is not conservativism; it’s powerful actors attempting to deceive law enforcement officials so as to secure harmful news coverage against their political opponents. The severe underreporting of this attack on democracy by the mainstream news media should surprise no one. These actions and abuses of power and are fundamentally wrong.
