Constitutional Conservative: Democrats look to pass Green New Deal as part of $3.5 TRILLION budget

Analysis:

Democrats in Congress are looking to slip the Green New Deal into the upcoming $3.5 TRILLION budget plan they intend to pass on a party-line vote through the budget reconciliation process.  Their plans include “first-of-their-kind fines” on oil and gas producers responsible for 77% of U.S. energy production.

The plan includes a wish list of handouts to Green New Deal supporters and risks making the U.S. dependent on foreign countries for our energy needs.

Conclusion:

The Biden Administration began the year by killing thousands of jobs when it shut down the Keystone Pipeline.  With gas prices (along with the cost of everything else) increasing around the country, now is not the time to disincentivize investment in U.S. energy production.
