Constitutional Conservative: Democrats get slammed for comparing the U.S. to the Taliban
Analysis:
Democrat Congresswoman Omar of Minnesota compared America to the activities of the Taliban by tweeting:
"We have seen unthinkable atrocities committed by the US, Hamas, Israel, Afghanistan, and the Taliban".
Congresswoman Omar's tweet was so inappropriate that even other radical Democrats, like uber-liberal New Yorker Congressman Jerry Nadler, responded:
"Ignoring the differences between democracies governed by the rule of law and contemptible organizations that engage in terrorism at best discredits one's intended argument and at worst reflects deep-seated prejudice. "False equivalencies give cover to terrorist groups."
Congresswoman Omar - a Somali-born former refugee who is one of the first Muslims elected to Congress - struck back at Nadler and accusing others of engaging in "islamophobic tropes." "It's shameful for colleagues who call me when they need my support to now put out a statement asking for 'clarification' and not just call," she tweeted.
Conclusion:
The American Left often has an opinion of hate for our country. America stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when people are free. But, the Violent Left despises our values and seeks to tear us down from within. Here is but one such case: A Yemeni refugee who was given asylum in America, where she now has more freedoms than were ever possible back home, and which would have never been afforded her under Sharia law or by any oppressive regime. Yet this Congresswoman compares it unfavorably with the Taliban - belittling not only the freedom that we've fought so hard for here at home over decades, but also demeaning those brave soldiers abroad whose sacrifice made her life in America even remotely possible.
